Because it is easier to dominate an opponent using by using the floor to assist in balance and control, most of the training in jiu-jitsu takes place on the ground. Being able to dominate and neutralize a larger, more aggressive opponent is a hallmark of the art. This is achieved through ground control positions and leverage-maximizing technique’s including chokes, arm locks, leg locks and other manipulative joint techiniques.  What is kickboxing? Kickboxing is a dynamic and effective sport, evolving from the practice of many different martial arts. Essentially it is boxing with kicks-combining western and eastern techniques. Footworks, kicks, punches and blocking techniques are used along with effective sparring in order to judge distances, timing and contact.  What is Submission Wrestling? Submission wrestling also known as submission fighting, submission grappling  and No-Gi Jiu Jitsu. The sport of submission wrestling brings together techniques from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Folk American Wrestling, Luta Livre, Freestyle Wrestling, Judo and Sambo. Submission fighting is an element of a large sport and is more common in mixed martial arts, Pankration, catch wrestling, shootfighting, shooto and others. Submission wrestlers or grapplers usually wear shorts, skin-sticky clothing, speedos and mixed short clothes so they do not rip off in combat.
